Jon Goldman is a multidisciplinary artist with a 44-year practice spanning sculpture, interactive inflatable sculpture, site-specific installation, drawing, painting, filmmaking, design, music, and animation.
His work explores ecology, technology, spectacle, community, humor, language, and linguistics, often on an ambitious scale.
Goldman’s current focus is his TRUTH PROJECT, which combines various media for alternative exhibition venues to examine the concept of truth through diverse forms, from large-scale sculptures for waterways and highways to electron microscopic creations.
Employing advanced technologies alongside traditional techniques, his art addresses environmental and social issues while encouraging public engagement.
A graduate of MIT’s Center for Advanced Visual Studies and former Fellow there, Goldman has produced large-scale spectacles, installations, documentaries, and animations for major broadcasters, museums and non-traditional exhibition venues. His work, which ranges from the monumental to the nano-scale, reflects a unique blend of artistic vision and technological innovation, aimed at provoking thought and discussion in an era of contested facts and scientific understanding.
