Village Portrait Project
A public art project using digitally painted portraits of the people of the artist’s village of Woods Hole (Cape Cod, MA). The 300 paintings here were completed between 2012-2017.
In its final realization, all 300 portraits would occupy all surfaces of a built space imitating the artist’s studio with every surface covered by the digitally painted faces of the people of Woods Hole, Massachusetts.
Sven is an artist who grew up in Wood’s Hole, moved to California, and has since returned.
